National Respite for Carers Program Over 600 community-based respite services are delivered to carers and the people they care for in a variety of settings, including homes, day centres, host families and residential overnight cottages. Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centres Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centres are information centres for older people, people with disabilities and those who provide care and services. Centres provide free and confidential information on community aged care, disability and other support services available locally, interstate or anywhere within Australia.
Home and Community Care (HACC) - Better Health Channel Home and Community Care (HACC) is a joint Commonwealth/ State Government program which provides services to support frail elderly people, younger people with disabilities living at home or in the community and their carers. Services provided may include housekeeping, home maintenance, personal care, nursing care and transport.
